UK Food Standards Agency GM assessments

The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has completed scientific positive assessments on nine GM events for import, processing and use in food and feed. This follows a batch of nine GM events which were formally authorized by the UK last month. These eighteen events were approved by the EU in 2021 and a further six events approved by the EU in 2022 so far are still awaiting assessments in the UK. The UK authorities are working hard to catch up with these approvals since it left the EU.
